OUR PARTICIPATING MANAGERS

APFC coordinates a summer intern program that brings together APFC, our participating managers, and Alaska students.  The goal is to provide world-class opportunities for Alaska students, and to benefit those of us that hire them.  APFC does the legwork – connecting with students through the Alaska University network.  We also work with our managers to develop job postings for our web site.  This makes it easy for you to start receiving applications and take it from there.  For our own interns at APFC, we have found that having a multi-week work plan drafted in advance of the internship goes a long way toward ensuring a successful experience for both parties.  Our work plans blend the more mundane/entry-level tasks with more challenging tasks and projects that together help round out an intern’s education and give them a sense of the work force.  Often, graduate students or students who have previous intern experience receive more sophisticated assignments than undergrads.  If you have any questions about offering an internship through APFC – don’t hesitate to call us!
